Reviewer information - Peer Review
JSR Journal pays special attention to peer review activities, as they are the reference point for a high quality publication. Please pay special attention to this process by being objective and also take into consideration the need for high quality advice in order to improve a research study. We want authors who wish to publish in our journal to reach their highest research potential and our contribution can be decisive in their training.
If you wish to join our team of editors, please register at the Login section, as an editor, thus becoming an active member of the Journal. You will need to fill out a profile form and keep track of the messages you receive (ex: articles for review). By accessing the profile you can also upload the review forms for the manuscripts you receive. These are the guidelines you must follow as an editor:
Meet the deadlines. It is very important to have a review report in a timely manner in order to make the final decision of publishing the reviewed article. It is also important for the author to receive instructions and make the necessary improvements to the article.
No conflicts of interests are allowed. For example, let’s say you can identify the author from the writing style, although you were not told who the author is. Please don’t hesitate to bring such situations to our attention.
If you are not familiar with the subject of an article, please communicate this aspect in order to direct the article to another reviewer.
- The peer review activity does not imply changing the text. You must inform about the presence of errors, discrepancies and items that need to be explained in an objective, clear and focused manner, so that authors can easily understand where they should make adjustments to their articles;
- In the cases where you consider the manuscript to be publishable after minor or major changes brought to the text, please keep in mind that our role in offering advice is to guide the young and future researchers towards improvement;
- Please review the manuscript as a whole (not by sections/parts) in order to have an accurate overview;
Fill out the attached review form and send it to us when completed.
